Starting out in 2000 as a greeting card company
with 12 designs, Bumpercards quickly realized
more designs were needed and something unique
was created. In 2001 Bumpercards launched its
trademark product The Emergency Kit®, a variety
pack of 10 everyday occasion greeting cards,
“Have the card you needed yesterday, today!”
2003 was a big year for Bumpercards LLC; starting
with a new motto, “Because we can’t always bump
into each other”. A new album was introduced and
the transition into invitations and personalized
stationery began. Thrilled with the response, we
began to fade out the greeting card line and focus on Stationery and Invitations. And in
2004 the Original Album doubled, showcasing many children’s designs with matching thank
you notes, gift stickers and return address labels as well as our popular Monogram Notes
and Photo Stationery.
In 2006 new colors, new logo and new feel were indroduced with the launch of the second
album, Eventations. The Eventations Album is a completely fresh approach to invitation
design. Using comptemporary designs with layered paper, the customer is able to choose
between 4 sizes and a variety of papers to build their own creation. The invitations are
designed with matching 2 layered address seals.
So what makes Bumpercards special? For one, customer service and speedy turnaround
time, not to mention design. There is a simple yet unique style that you can’t help but love.
Another benefit to Bumpercards is working directly with the owner, Michelle Harwood.
She will work with you to create exactly what you are looking for.
Owner Background Michelle Burry Harwood started Bumpercards while on Hiatus as an animator on Comedy Central’s Show, South Park. She was an animator for 9 sessions and left at the end 2006 to raise her son and meet the demands of Bumpercards. She has a BFA in Fine Arts and an MFA in Animation; both degrees are from The University of Southern California. (Go Trojans!)
